Wireless Grid Networks and Virtual Markets

چکیده

Grid and peer-to-peer computing are becoming pervasive. Every night personal computers are sharing files, cracking encryption codes and searching for aliens. Wireless devices and users will join the grid, changing grid infrastructure requirements. Smaller, wireless communication devices offer exceptional promise but also create known and unknown problems. A wireless grid promises to enhance the power of small, power-constrained devices by allowing ad-hoc sharing of resources. However, there will be problems to be addressed, such as how resources can be shared in a dynamic, ad-hoc environment, where both servers and clients are ephemeral, or at the least nomadic. In this paper, we frame the basic issues related to sharing resources in a wireless grid.
